Wallet Passes

Overview

A Mobile Wallet functions as a digital version of a physical wallet. Like its physical counterpart, a Mobile Wallet can hold loyalty cards, coupons, gift cards, and event tickets -- just digital versions of these items.

Unlike a physical wallet, though, all the items in a Mobile Wallet can be dynamic. Members are informed in real-time about their available coupons, and the geolocation capabilities of the program notify them about Offers that are available in their nearest store.

Marigold Loyalty's Mobile Wallet feature leverages Apple and Google's built-in wallet apps to deliver content, thereby allowing marketers to reach their Members on their devices in a manner similar to Push Notifications, without the expense of creating a branded mobile app.

Access

To access the Wallet Passes screen, select Campaigns from the Main Navigation Menu, then select Wallet Passes from the Sub-Category menu.

Searching and Sorting

Search

The search feature allows you to search for a specified text string anywhere within the Wallet Pass item's Display Name or Internal Name.

Optionally, in the search field near the top of the Wallet Passes screen, enter the desired text string.
Press Enter, or click the search button (magnifying glass icon).
The Wallet Passes screen is refreshed to show only the Wallet Passes that meet your search criteria.
To remove all search criteria, click the remove button ("X" icon).

Navigation

Once you've found the desired Wallet Pass, you can navigate to the following other screens:

Click the Wallet Pass to navigate to the Wallet Pass Details screen.

Create a New Wallet Pass

To create a new Wallet Pass:

In the "Enter Display Name" field, enter the Display Name value for the new Wallet Pass.
Click create. The "Edit Wallet Pass" pop-up window is displayed.
The "Display Name" field is populated with the value you entered above; optionally edit this value.
From the "Type" drop-down menu, select the desired type of Wallet Pass. Please note that Apple and Google often use different names for the same Pass type.

Event Ticket
Store Card (Apple) / Loyalty (Google)
Generic (Apple) / Gift Card (Google)

In the "Organization / Issuer" field, enter the name of your company. This value will appear as the distributor of the Wallet Pass in the Member’s mobile wallet on their device.
The "Internal Name" is automatically populated based on the "Display Name" value. This field is disabled by default. To edit the Internal Name, check edit internal name. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click ok. Edit the Internal Name value.
In the "Description" field, optionally enter a description of the Wallet Pass.
Click save.

View or Edit a Wallet Pass

To view or edit the details of an Wallet Pass:

Search the Wallet Passes screen as described above.
Click on the desired Wallet Pass.
The Wallet Pass Details screen is displayed and populated with all of the information about this Wallet Pass. See Wallet Pass Details for more information.
