Member Details: Segments Tab

Overview

The Segments tab is used to see all the currently published Segments for which a Member is eligible. This tab is always updated in real-time, so as soon as a Member becomes eligible for a Segment, it will be displayed in the Segments tab for that Member. Conversely, as soon as a Member is no longer eligible for a Segment, the Segment is removed from this tab.

Segments are used to create sets of Members, either static or based on business rules, for use in targeting and analytics. For more information on Segments, including how to manage and create them, please see the Segments screen.

The Segment Tab is separated into three main sections:

Within each section, the platform lists the Segment name, status, and effectivity dates. To view additional details on a Segment, click on the Segment name. The Segment Details screen is displayed.

Features

The features available on the Segments tab are described below. 

  Include Member in a Segment

The platform allows you to override the logic in a given Segment, and explicitly include a Member in that Segment.

  1. In the "Included Segments" section, from the drop-down menu, select the desired Segment.

  2. Click add segment.

  3. Repeat the above steps as needed. 

 

 Exclude Member from a Segment

The platform allows you to override the logic in a given Segment, and explicitly exclude a Member from that Segment.

  1. In the "Excluded Segments" section, from the drop-down menu, select the desired Segment.

  2. Click add segment.

  3. Repeat the above steps as needed.

 

 Remove a Segment

To remove a Segment from either a Member's "Included Segments" or "Excluded Segments" list:

  1. Next to the desired Segment, click the remove button (trash can icon). A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  2. Click confirm.
