Data Link Details

Overview

The Data Link Details screen provides detailed information about the selected Data Link.

Access

To access the Data Link Details screen, click on the desired item from the Data Links screen.

Navigation links are provided near the top of the Data Link Details screen:

Back to Data Links: Click this link to return to the Data Links screen.

The Data Link Details screen is organized into different sections available by clicking the appropriate tab.

Select an item above for more details on that tab.

Settings

The basic properties for the Data Link are displayed at the top of the screen in the Header section. The features available within this section are described below.

View or Edit Data Link Properties

To edit the proerties of the selected Data Link:

In the top section of the Data Link Details screen, click the Edit icon. The "Edit Data Link" pop-up window is displayed.
Make any necessary changes to the Data Link properties.
Click save.

Note: When you create or edit a Data Link, you must deploy metadata for the changes to take effect. Please see Deployments for more details.

Delete a Data Link

To delete the selected Data Link:

In the Header section of the Data Link Details screen, click the Edit icon. The "Edit Data Link" pop-up window is displayed.
Click delete. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.
Click confirm.

Set Data Link Status

To set the status of a Data Link:

In the top-right section of the Data Link Details screen, click the Edit icon. The "Edit Data Link" pop-up window is displayed.
The Data Link status is used to specify when a Data Link is actively in use. From the "Status" drop-down menu, select the desired status value -- Draft, Published, or Archive.
Click save.

Note: When you create or edit a Data Link, you must deploy metadata for the changes to take effect. Please see Deployments for more details.
