Reward Classes

Overview

A Reward Class allows you to define custom Attributes, and assign them to Rewards. An Attribute is a field, with an specified set of valid values (called "Domain Values"). You can also define the default Domain Value for an Attribute. If you assign a Reward to a Reward Class, that Reward inherits all of the Reward Class Attributes.

For example, let's say you sell t-shirts with the following two Reward Class Attributes:

Access

To access the Reward Classes screen, select Rewards from the Main Navigation Menu, then select Settings > Reward Classes from the Sub-Category menu.

The Reward Classes screen provides the following features:

 Searching and Sorting

Search

The search feature allows you to search for a specified text string anywhere within the following fields: display name or internal name.  

  1. Optionally, in the search field near the top of the Reward Classes screen, enter the desired text string.

  2. Press Enter, or click the search button (magnifying glass icon).

  3. The Reward Classes screen is refreshed to show only the Reward Classes that meet your search criteria. Please note that if you enter multiple search conditions, the platform displays only the Reward Classes that meet ALL criteria.

  4. To remove all search criteria, click the remove button ("X" icon).

Sort

The "Sort" drop-down menu allows you to sort the Reward Classes on a variety of different fields. To sort the list of Reward Classes, select the desired sort option from this menu.

  • Name (default option)

  • Created Date

  • Updated Date

Navigation

Once you've found the desired Reward Classes, you can navigate to the following other screens:

  • Click the Reward Class record to navigate to the Reward Class Details screen for that Reward Class.

 

 Create a New Reward Class

To create a new Reward Class:

  1. In the "Enter Display Name" field, enter the name of the new Reward Class.

  2. Click create. The "Punch Card Type" drop-down menu is displayed.

  3. The "Display Name" field is populated with the value you entered above in step 1; optionally edit this value.

  4. The "Internal Name" is automatically populated based on the "Display Name" value. This field is disabled by default. To edit the Internal Name, check the "Edit Internal Name" check box. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click ok. Edit the Internal Name value.

  5. In the "Description" field, enter a description of the Reward Class.

  6. Click save.
