Definition Tab: Contest

To edit a Contest type of Reward:

1. Within the "Definition for Contest" section, click edit. The "Edit Reward" pop-up window is displayed.

2. In the "Draw Date" field, enter the date and time of the contest drawing.

3. From the "Time Zone" drop-down menu, select the desired time zone.

4. Optionally, make any changes to the JSON code for this Reward.

5. Click save.   

A Contest can have one or more Prizes assigned to it. Prizes can be:

• Points

• A Reward (the Reward is treated as an "Award," meaning no points are deducted from the Member's accumulated points when he or she wins the Prize).

• Entry into another Contest

To define a Prize:

1. In the "Enter Display Name" field, enter a name for the Prize.

2. Click add prize. The "Edit Prize" pop-up window is displayed.

3. The "Display Name" field is populated with the value you entered above in step 1; optionally edit this value.

4. The "Internal Name" is automatically populated based on the "Display Name" value. This field is disabled by default. To edit the Internal Name, check the "Edit Internal Name" check box. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click ok. Edit the Internal Name value.

5. In the "Description" field, enter a description of this Prize.

6. To assign an image to this Prize, click choose file, then browse to and select the desired image file.

7. Select the Prize type:

• Metric: Enter the number of points, and select the desired metric.

• Reward Award: From the drop-down menu, select a Reward.

• Reward Contest: From the drop-down menu, select a Contest

8. In the "Number of winners" field, enter the possible number of people who can win this Prize.

9. Click save.  

10. Repeat the above steps as needed to define additional Prizes for this Contest.

To edit the details of a Prize:

1. From the drop-down menu in the "Action" column, select "Edit." The "Edit Prize" pop-up window is displayed.

2. Make any necessary changes to the Prize properties

3. Click save.  

To delete a Prize:

1. From the drop-down menu in the "Action" column, select "Edit." The "Edit Prize" pop-up window is displayed.

2. Click delete. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

3. Click confirm.

The Loyalty platform allows you to randomly select the Members who win a Prize.

Note: Only Members who currently have a pending response to this Contest are eligible to be selected.

Pick Winners for a Single Prize

To randomly pick the winners for a single Prize:

1. Next to the desired Prize, from the "Actions" drop-down menu, select "Pick Winners for Me."  

Pick Winners for All Prizes

To randomly pick the winners for all Prizes defined for a Contest:

1. Click pick all winners for me.

The Loyalty platform allows you to manually pick the Members who win a Prize.

Note: Only Members who currently have a pending response to this Contest are eligible to be selected.

1. Next to the desired Prize, from the "Actions" drop-down menu, select "Manually Pick Winners." The "Edit Prize" pop-up window is displayed.

2. In the "Response Winners" field, begin typing the Member name. Select the desired Member from the drop-down menu.

3. Click save.
