Event Explorer
Overview
The Event Explorer screen within the Engagement Data Platform (EDP) allows you to visualize and understand the actions and behaviors of your customers. You can then easily turn the data visualization into a Segment for targeting purposes.
Access
To access the Event Explorer screen, select Audiences from the Main Navigation Menu, then select Event Explorer from the Sub-Category menu.

The Event Explorer screen provides the following features:

In the Dimension field, select an Event Attribute. The platform generates a donut chart, indicating the distribution of values in this Attribute. Hover your mouse cursor over a section of the donut graph to view additional details.

Optionally click the Legend toggle switch in the top-right corner of the chart to remove the legend.

By default, the platform shows the twenty largest values in the donut chart. Using the "No. of Partitions" field, optionally enter the number of partitions. The chart is refreshed.

After exploring your Event data, you can create a Segment directly from the Event Explorer screen.

Select the desired Event Attribute as described above in "Explorer Your Event Data."

Within the donut chart, double-click on the desired value.

Within the Summary section of the screen, the platform displays the logical criteria used to define this Segment. Optionally, to remove a logical criteria from the Segment, click the "X" icon next to the logic description. Or, click clear all to remove all logical criteria.

Click create segment.

The platform creates the Segment, and the Segment Details screen is displayed. Your Segment uses a default name consisting of the Segment's logical criteria description.

After exploring your Event data, you can export the data visualization:.

Select an Event Attribute as described above in "Explorer Your Event Data."

Click export.

The platform generates a PDF file containing the donut chart data visualization.
