Recycle Bin

Overview

Foldered items are never truly deleted from Engage+. When you "delete" a foldered item, you actually move it to the Recycle Bin, which serves as a kind of file archive. You can always restore an item from the Recycle Bin screen. For every deleted item, this screen shows the item type, name, the item's original folder location, the name of the user who deleted the item, and the date it was deleted.

Note: Non-foldered items aren't moved to the Recycle Bin, and can't be restored.

Access

The Recycle Bin is accessible by the following method:

To restore a foldered item from the Recycle Bin back into its original location:

  1. Find the desired item within the Item Listing section of the Recycle Bin. Optionally, you can sort and filter the Item Listing to help you find the item you want to restore.

    • Filter: To filter based on the item name, begin typing in the "Search by Name" text box above the Item Listing. With each additional letter that you type, the system further refines the search, and displays the results in the Item Listing. The system utilizes a "contains this text" search method, meaning that the system will search for your text string anywhere within the item name, not just at the beginning of the name. To delete your text string, click the "X" icon to the right of the "Search by Name" text box.

    • Sort: By default, the Item Listing is sorted by the deleted date in descending order (most recent at the top). To sort the Item Listing by some other column, click on the column header. The Item Listing is refreshed to sort by that column in descending order. To toggle to ascending order, click the same column header again.

  2. Place a check mark next to the desired item (or optionally, next to multiple items).

  3. In the Tool Ribbon, click Restore. A confirmation dialog box is displayed. Click ok.

  4. The system restores the selected item (or items) back to its original folder.
