Placements

Overview

A Placement is a reusable, named location where Offers or other content objects can be displayed, such as a web carousel, or particular section of an email message.

Access

To access the Placements screen, select Campaigns from the Main Navigation Menu, then select Settings > Placements from the Sub-Category menu.

Features

The Placements screen provides the following features:

 Searching and Sorting

Search

The search feature allows you to search for a specified text string anywhere within the Placement's Internal Name or Label.

  1. Optionally, in the search field near the top of Placements screen, enter the desired text string.

  2. Optionally, from the "Status" drop-down menu, select an Placement status (or "Any status").  

  3. Press Enter, or click the search button (magnifying glass icon).

  4. The Placements screen is refreshed to show only the Placements that meet your search criteria.

  5. To remove all search criteria, click the remove button ("X" icon).

Sort

The "Sort" drop-down menu allows you to sort the Placements on a variety of different fields. To sort the list of Placements, select the desired sort option from this menu.

  • Placement ID (the default option)

  • Name

  • Created Date

  • Updated Date

Navigation

Once you've found the desired Placement, you can navigate to the following other screens:

  • Click the Placement record to navigate to the Placement Details screen for that Placement.

 

 

 Create a New Placement

To create a new Placement:

  1. In the "Label" field, enter the Display Name value for the new Placement.

  2. Click create. The "Edit" pop-up window is displayed.

  3. The "Label" field is populated with the value you entered above in step 1; optionally edit this value.

  4. The "Internal Name" is automatically populated based on the "Label" value. This field is uneditable by default. To edit the Internal Name, check the "Edit Internal Name" check box. A confirmation dialog box is displayed; click ok. Edit the Internal Name value.

  5. Optionally, in the "Description" field, enter a description of the Placement.

  6. Optionally, from the "Platform" drop-down menu, select the channel for this Placement -- Web, Mobile, or Email.

  7. If you selected "Web" as the Platform, optionally enter the URL for this website.

  8. Click save.  

 

 

 View or Edit a Placement

To view or edit the details of a Placement:

  1. Search, sort, or filter the Placements screen as described above.

  2. Click on the desired Placement.

  3. The Placement Details screen is displayed and populated with all of the information about this Placement. See Placement Details for more information.
