Encryption Keys

Overview

The Engagement Data Platform allows you to encrypt export files using PGP encryption. To support this feature, you must upload your encryption key file into the platform. 

Access

To access the Encryption Keys screen, select Admin from the Main Navigation Menu, then select Encryption Keys from the Sub-Category menu.

Features

The Encryption Keys screen provides the following features related to managing your encryption keys:

 Create a New Encryption Key

To create a new encryption key:

  1. Enter the Display Name value for the new encryption key.

  2. Click create.The platform adds the new encryption key to the Encryption Keys screen.

  3. Click the new encryption key to display the "Encryption Key" pop-up window. 

  4. The "Display Name" field is populated with the value you entered above; optionally edit this value.

  5. From the "Encryption Type" drop-down menu, select the desired encryption method:

  • OpenPGP Public Key

  • RSA Private Key (select this option if you intend to use SSH2 for your Secure FTP Connection Profile). 

  • RS256

  • Google Cloud Storage Key (select this option if you intend to use this key for a Google Cloud Storage Connection Profile). 

  1. Click choose file and browse to and select your encryption key file. 

  2. Click update

 

 View or Edit an Encryption Key

To view or edit the details of an encryption key:

  1. Click on the desired encryption key name. The "Encryption Key" pop-up window is displayed.

  2. Make any necessary changes to the encryption key settings.

  3. Click update

 

 Delete an Encryption Key

To delete an encryption key:

  1. Click on the desired encryption key name. The "Encryption Key" pop-up window is displayed.

  2. Click delete. A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click confirm.
