Segments are used to create sets of consumer, either static or based on business rules, for use in targeting and analytics. For more information on Segments, including how to manage and create them, please see the Segments screen.
The Segments tab is used to see all the currently published Segments for which a consumer is eligible. This tab is always updated in real-time, so as soon as a consumer becomes eligible for a Segment, it will be displayed in the Segments tab for that consumer. Conversely, as soon as a consumer is no longer eligible for a Segment, the Segment is removed from this tab.
The Segments tab is separated into three main sections:
Member Segments: A list of Segments for which this consumer is eligible based on the Segment logic.
Included Segments: A list of Segments to which this consumer has been explicitly included.
Excluded Segments: A list of Segments from which this consumer has been explicitly excluded.
Within each section, the platform lists the Segment name, status, and effectivity dates. To view additional details on a Segment, click on the Segment name. The Segment Details screen is displayed.
