People Details: Activities

Overview

Activities refer to customer events or actions that the platform is able to capture and record. The platform supports a wide range of standard Activity Types, and you can define custom Activity Types as well.

The Activities tab provides a timeline view of all the Activities associated with this customer. By default, the platform displays Activities over the last three months. The legend indicates the color used for each Activity Type, as well as the count of instances of this Activity Type within the date range.

The features and options available from the Activities tab are described below.

 Filter Activity Timeline

To filter the Activities that appear within the Activity timeline:

  1. Optionally, from the Activity Type drop-down menu, select either "All Activity Types" (the default value), or one or more specific Activity types.

  2. Optionally, from the date drop-down menu, select a date range. This menu offers a variety of predefined date range options, such as "last three months" (the default value), or year-to-date, for example.

  3. Press Enter, or click the search button (magnifying glass icon). The Activities timeline is refreshed to show only the Activities that meet your search criteria. Please note that Activities must meet ALL criteria you select in the above steps.

  4. To remove all search criteria and revert back to the default options, click the remove button ("X" icon).

 

 View Activity Details

To view the details of a specific Activity instance:

  1. Within the timeline of Activities, click the desired Activity instance.

  2. A pop-up window is displayed, showing the value of every Attribute associated with this Activity instance.

 

 Resubmit an Activity

To resubmit an Activity record:

  1. Within the timeline of Activities, click the desired Activity instance.

  2. A pop-up window is displayed, showing the value of every Attribute associated with this Activity instance.

  3. Click resubmit activity. The "Resubmit Activity" pop-up window is displayed.

  4. Make any necessary changes to the Activity parameters.

  5. Click submit.

 

 Cancel an Activity

To cancel an Activity instance:

  1. Within the timeline of Activities, click the desired Activity instance.

  2. A pop-up window is displayed, showing the value of every Attribute associated with this Activity instance.

  3. Click cancel activity. The "Cancel Activity" pop-up window is displayed.

  4. In the "Comment" field, enter a note explaining why you are canceling this Activity record.

  5. Click submit.

 

 Export Activities

To export the Activities section:

  1. Apply any desired filters as described above.

  2. Click the "Download all activities" button.

  3. The system downloads the contents of the Activities section as a comma-separated values (.csv) file to your PC.
