Standard Themes
Overview
The reporting and analytics engine in the Engagement Data Platform (EDP) is designed to analyze all the data available in the platform, and to transform this data into useful and actionable insight.
Note: This Help topic describes EDP's default reports, which are currently focused on Cheetah Messaging and the Email channel. Standard reporting for other Cheetah Digital properties, such as Loyalty, will be available soon.
For Email Campaigns sent via Messaging, the three primary measures for EDP reports are as follows:
-
Campaigns: What message did you send, and how did your recipients respond?
-
Time: When did you send the message, and when did the response occur?
-
Audience: To whom did you send the message, and who responded?
EDP supports four pre-built embedded Themes, that provide a lens into marketing performance and consumer dynamics and behavior. These Themes are:
-
Analytics Overview: Displays Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Campaigns that were launched within a specified time range.
-
Campaign Overview: Displays detailed information about a specific Campaign, or group of Campaigns. The Campaign Overview is also accessible within Cheetah Messaging, for Campaigns that use EDP as their data source. See the Messaging Online Help for more details.
-
Performance Over Time: Monitor Campaign responses over a specified time range.
-
Audience Profiling: Analyze demographic information about the Campaign's audience.
Access
To access a Theme, select Analytics from the Main Navigation Menu, then select the desired Theme from the Sub-Category menu.

-
Select the desired Dashboard. The report contents are refreshed.

Working with Dashboards
The features and options available when working within a Dashboard are described below

Dashboards utilize a default Filter that limits the data presented in the report to a more meaningful size and scope. The current Filter settings are displayed within an expandable panel near the top of the Dashboard. From this panel, you can define your own Filter settings.
-
Navigate to the desired Theme and Dashboard as described above.
-
Expand the Filter panel.
-
Enter or select the desired Filter settings.
-
To add an additional Filter rule, click the Add button (plus-sign icon). Multiple rules are joined by an OR operator.
-
Click run. The report contents are refreshed.

Some of the Dashboards within a Theme include additional levels of reporting that let you interact with the report contents, and define exactly what you want to see. In this manner, you can select what metric (or KPI) you want to analyze, by what demographic attribute. For example, you could choose to view "Clicks by Age Group."
-
Navigate to the desired Theme and Dashboard as described above.
-
The available KPIs are displayed in a horizontal row above the report. Beneath each KPI, the platform displays an up or down arrow, along with a number indicating how much this metric has changed from the previous reporting period. This feature lets you quickly view how your key metrics are trending. Select the desired KPI. The report contents are refreshed.
-
The menu of available demograhic attributes is displayed within a menu to the left of the Dashboard. From this menu, select the desired attribute. The report contents are refreshed.
Note: You can also choose the desired combination of KPI / demographic attribute within the Filter panel.

Most Dashboards comprise multiple tiles that are designed to help you visualize your data. The various charts and graphs within these tiles include several options to improve the data's usability and clarity.
-
Within a chart, hover your mouse cursor over a data point. The platform displays additional detail for that data point within a pop-up.
-
For line charts that include multiple metrics, you can toggle a metric on / off by clicking on it in the legend. The platform refreshes the line chart, and automatically adjusts the scale as appropriate.
